Kyle Laird, Founder and CEO of Whatcom Business Consultants, has been involved in successful entrepreneurship since his teen years. He started his own auto detail shop when he was 17. During his 3 years in college, Kyle simultaneously managed and grew his auto detail business into a successful venture, supporting 2 additional employees. After earning his degrees, Kyle got his first accounting job at a small diesel repair shop in Bellingham. His business savvy and management experience lead to a great opportunity and he was hired as a tax preparer for H&R Block. During his time at H&R block, he sharpened his skills and got promoted to office manager- and then again to director of business services. Time and excellence in these positions lead to his main promotion as district manager, overseeing 5 offices in the district and 60 employees- a position that he held for 10 years.
